 Rice's Environmental Health and Safety Department provides support to the Rice Community in the areas of chemical and biological safety, fire safety, office and laboratory safety. The department also works with local, state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with government codes and policies and assure everyone that Rice University is a safe place to work and study.
