Recombinant DNA

The Institutional Biosafety Committee at Rice University conducts the initial review and approval and the continuing review of research involving recombinant DNA. These reviews are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA molecules and shall apply to all recombinant DNA research performed at Rice University, whether funded by NIH or not. The IBC committee meets at least three times a year during the academic calender to review registration protocols.
