Training Schedule and Registration
General and specialized training are required before working in Rice University laboratories. Substitution of training from other organizations or institutes is not accepted as formal training since operational guidelines, emergency procedures, and waste management protocols are unique to Rice.
Use the Safety Training Requirements page as a guideline to determine the types of training you are required to complete.

Training Records
ALL training records are now in SciShield. Records are available to the owner of the record after logging in. A Principal Investigator or designee can also check training records of people associated with their lab in SciShield. If you need help setting up your lab in SciShield, contact EHSLO at X4444 or safety@rice.edu
